Beta dataDyne Research: Investigation

Actual beta screenshots

The experimental item I was a K7 Avenger sitting on the table (although it looks like a ZMG).

In the non-beta version, the game has a guard and a scientest testing the new weapon. The new version is a lot better.

Experimental item three, a shield, looks like a metallic cube. This is probably a test item, and they hadn't put the image of a shield in the game yet. Goldeneye has a lot of these in its image bank, and they probably were images not yet programmed (and never were). The only thing that changed was the shield's image, as shown by The Terrorist's comparison.

This picture I scanned from the Official Nintendo Power Player's Guide. The shield image is not the metallic box above, but instead another form of a shield, which looks like a box. This must have changed frequently until they decided to put the normal shield.

The terminals are different in the final version. Rather than Defection style terminals they are blacker w/ a green screen. Also, notice the civilian who should be a scientist. He lies, dead, and no objective failed. Also, the terminal is being blown up. Shouldn't it be used?

Cables not there in final version. Also, old terminals.

2X AR34s in the level. None are available in the non-beta version.

A cyclone. Not a known cheat, since there is only a little over 300 ammo. Would've fit nicely into this level, although be a bit too powerful.
