A
New Bond Game is Coming for the Nintendo 64!
James Bond is back in for more first-person
shooting
Many of you
will be extremely excited by the news that a new Bond movie, The
World is Not Enough, is coming to the Nintendo 64. But you may not
be so excited when you learn that the development gods, Rare, will
not have anything to do with the title. Instead, the game is under
development by Eurocom, and is being published by Electronic Arts.
The good news is that these companies abandoned making the game
similar to Sony Playstation's version of Tomorrow Never Dies and
have instead opted to recreate Rare's classic. Apparently, GoldenEye
is being carefully studied by the development to make the game a
very similar experience. The controls will be the same, and there
will also be four player options using the weapons and gadgets from
the movie. And this time of course, instead of Natalya Simonova,
you'll be able to enjoy the company of the lovely Christmas Jones.
Another shooter
with the Bond license has the potential to be awesome, even if it's
not developed by Rare. Keep you eyes out for this one, and hope
that this Bond license (that surprisingly wasn't given to Rare)
doesn't go to waste.
